JBL Stock Surges 6% on UBS Upgrade Amid AI Growth Prospects
Jabil Inc.'s (JBL) stock surged nearly 6% on Tuesday after UBS upgraded it to 'Buy' from 'Neutral', citing the company's strong growth prospects driven by AI investments from key customers, including Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Meta Platforms Inc. (META), and Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL).
The upgrade was led by UBS analyst David Vogt, who stated that product road maps from these companies could lead to potentially faster growth than previously expected.
The firm forecasts Jabil's AI-related revenue growing by about 50% to $20.3 billion in fiscal 2027, up from $13.5 billion in fiscal 2026, with Amazon emerging as a key AI partner for the company.
Jabil has become a 'picks and shovels' play in the broader AI sector, driven by its partnerships with Big Tech companies and its expanding presence in areas such as health care and automation.
