Jennifer Haunani Ching Dies at Home in Las Vegas June 8

Jennifer Haunani Ching passed away peacefully at home in Las Vegas on June 8, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1968, on Kauai and spent her early years attending elementary school on Oahu and graduating from Gardena High School in California.

Ching worked at various jobs including Spices Restaurant on Maui and Home Depot on Kauai, where she spent many years. She also volunteered for the Kauai Humane Society, fostering over 100 cats and kittens during her time there.

In 2022, Ching moved to Las Vegas and took a job in the Admissions office of the College of Southern Nevada. Her family is still grieving her loss and has announced plans for a celebration of life on Kauai, as well as an internment at Lihue Public Cemetery.
