Jet Airways' Boeing 777 Era Comes to a Close

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, VT-JEM, which was once a symbol of premium air travel for Jet Airways, has departed from Mumbai Airport after over seven years. This departure marks the end of an iconic era in Indian aviation history.

The aircraft had been grounded at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport since Jet Airways suspended operations on April 17, 2019. After its final ferry flight to Tel Aviv, Israel, VT-JEM will undergo conversion into a dedicated cargo aircraft by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

This marks the end of an era for Jet Airways' Boeing 777-300ER fleet, which played a key role in connecting Mumbai and Delhi with major international destinations. The departure of VT-JEM represents a nostalgic chapter for aviation enthusiasts who remember the golden years of Jet Airways.
