Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Diversion After Passengers Report Vibrations

A Jet2 flight from Liverpool to Palma de Mallorca made an emergency diversion to Manchester Airport after passengers reported feeling 'sudden vibrations' during the journey.

The Boeing 737-800 plane, which was heading towards Palma de Mallorca Airport, declared a general emergency alert at around 12,875 feet while flying near Manchester.

A passenger on board told the ECHO that there was a sudden vibration and noise from the start of the flight, but it didn't seem alarming. However, after about 15 minutes, the captain announced that there was an issue.

The plane landed safely at Manchester Airport, where passengers were expected to continue their journey on another flight organised by Jet2 around 11:25am.
