Jets' Late Lead Slips Away in Overtime Loss to Packers
The New York Jets suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers on September 20, 2026, at MetLife Stadium. The game went into overtime, with the Jets ultimately falling short 20-17.
The team built a 17-7 fourth-quarter lead but couldn't hold onto it. New York controlled possession for more than 37 minutes and limited Green Bay to just 199 total yards, but costly penalties and missed opportunities led to their downfall.
David Bailey had another strong performance, making one of his best plays early in the game with a sack on Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Andre Cisco also had an excellent coverage rep against Christian Watson, keeping Love from consistently attacking down the field.
Demario Davis was everywhere on the field, providing energy and physicality to the defense. Braelon Allen finally got his first touchdown of the season, capping a seven-play, 70-yard drive with a five-yard run.
