JKMAX Heated Blankets and Pads Recalled Over Heating Hazards
A recall has been issued for over 195,000 JKMAX heated blankets and heating pads sold on Amazon due to overheating hazards.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on September 17, citing reports of incidents involving smoke, melting, or burning due to faulty internal wire heating elements.
JKMAX has received 577 reports of such incidents, including 53 burn injuries.
The affected products include various models of heated blankets and pads made by Jiande Pengshuai Trading Co., Ltd. of China, which were sold online through Amazon from September 2022 to July 2026.
