JNJ Multiple Myeloma Treatment Shows Promising Phase 3 Results
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has reported new Phase 3 MajesTEC-3 results for TECVAYLI plus DARZALEX FASPRO in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma. The study found durable disease control with progression-free and overall survival outcomes that differ from standard therapy benchmarks.
The data indicate a significant improvement, with an 86.6% projected cure fraction for overall survival compared to 0% for the DPd/DVd control arm. This suggests that TECVAYLI plus DARZALEX FASPRO may offer longer treatment courses and broader use in patients who have not responded to previous therapies.
The modeled life expectancy of 18.5 years is notable, approaching the 21.1 years for an age-matched general population. This reinforces the idea that next-generation therapies can help fill gaps left by older products such as STELARA.
