JNJ Stock Surges on Newer Therapies and Strong Outlook
Johnson & Johnson's stock has rallied by 54% over the past year, driven in part by a shift in its pharmaceutical portfolio. The company's second-quarter 2026 results showed that immunology drug TREMFYA reached $2 billion in quarterly sales for the first time, with revenue rising 71% compared to the previous year.
This surge helped offset a 55.7% decline in sales of older immunology drug STELARA, which is facing competitive and lifecycle pressures. The company's full-year outlook was also boosted by its newer therapies like TREMFYA, with total operational sales projected at a midpoint of $100.6 billion for 2026.
The stock's valuation has also come under scrutiny, with some analysts suggesting it trades at a premium to its intrinsic value. However, the company's long-term dividend strength remains an attractive feature for income-oriented investors, and its shares are rated as a Moderate Buy by 24 analysts.
