JNJ's Lung Cancer Therapy Posts Promising Survival Rates
Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ) RYBREVANT-LAZCLUZE combination therapy has shown promising results in treating advanced lung cancer. In a study presented at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, patients treated with this therapy achieved a median overall survival of nearly 3.5 years.
The study, known as CHRYSALIS-2, evaluated the combination as a first-line treatment in 49 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) carrying atypical EGFR mutations. The results showed that more than one-third of these patients had multiple atypical mutations.
Joel Neal, the study's principal investigator and a professor of medicine at Stanford Medicine, stated that treatment options for patients with atypical EGFR-mutated NSCLC remain limited, with questions surrounding the effectiveness of existing therapies.
