Joe Staloch Runs Second Campaign for District 23A

Joe Staloch, a candidate for District 23A, is running his second campaign after losing to an incumbent two years ago. He highlights his varied work experience as preparation for representing the district in the Capitol.

Staloch grew up on a hog farm outside Wells and earned a geology degree from Winona State University. His career has taken him through various roles, including managing restaurant kitchens, working in environmental services and consulting, responding to hazardous-material spills, and carrying out state and federal work orders that required a classified security clearance.

He also worked for a small county health department inspecting restaurants and public pools and later helped local contractors and homeowners source and price materials at Home Depot. Most recently, Staloch has been involved in securing permits for broadband deployment with electric cooperatives, municipalities, and county offices.

Staloch currently serves on the Albert Lea Parks and Recreation Board and believes his diverse experience will bring a valuable perspective to government. He emphasizes that he entered politics not for any personal connections or titles but because of his skills and understanding of community needs.
