JPMorgan and Citigroup Circle DroneShield as Stock Price Volatility Ebbs
DroneShield's stock price has taken a wild ride over the past fortnight, but beneath the surface, a more significant shift is underway. Two of the world's largest financial institutions, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup, have quietly built substantial positions in the Australian counter-drone specialist.
JPMorgan disclosed on August 6 that it had increased its stake from 5.15 percent to 6.68 percent, holding 61,703,608 ordinary shares. Meanwhile, Citigroup emerged as a substantial shareholder for the first time, reporting a 5.6853 percent interest equivalent to 52,537,753 shares.
The timing is striking, coming just days after DroneShield's trading update on July 28. The company slashed its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between A$250 million and A$270 million, representing growth of 15 to 25 percent over 2025.
