JPMorgan and Qatar's QIA Pursue $20 Billion Investment Partnership
JPMorgan Chase & Co and Qatar's QIA are reportedly targeting a $20 billion investment partnership, marking another big-ticket deal for the wealth fund. This comes months after QIA agreed to commit up to $25 billion with Goldman Sachs' asset management arm.
The new collaboration between QIA and JPMorgan Asset Management will cover both public and private markets in equities and credit, focusing on long-term investment objectives. The partnership includes a $15 billion public equities mandate and a $5 billion private markets initiative focused on US middle-market companies.
QIA has continued to invest overseas despite the economic fallout from the Iran war, which Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani described as an 'earthquake.'
