JPMorgan Approves HashKey Exchange for Segregated Client Funds Account
HashKey Exchange has secured approval from JPMorgan Chase to open a segregated client funds account, marking another traditional banking route for U.S. dollar settlement and customer money segregation.
The Hong Kong-licensed crypto platform is the first licensed digital asset exchange in Asia approved for this type of JPMorgan account.
This approval does not indicate the start of live deposits and withdrawals; instead, it confirms that HashKey has been granted permission to open an account with JPMorgan.
The segregated client funds account is designed to keep customer funds separate from HashKey's corporate operating capital, reducing the risk of commingling with other business expenses.
