JPMorgan Banks on Volta's $5 Billion AI Data Center Ambition
JPMorgan has entered into a $5 billion debt agreement to help Volta Infrastructure build data centers optimized for artificial intelligence applications.
This financing comes as tech companies intensely compete for limited chips and computational capacity needed to develop next-generation AI models.
Volta, founded this year by former Brookfield Asset Management executives Ricard Boada and Sofia Gumuzio, is part of a rapidly growing industry focused on making AI infrastructure more accessible.
The company recently formed a strategic partnership with Anthropic, pledging to provide $10 billion in computing power over six years through a Norwegian data center facility.
