JPMorgan Boosts Investment in India's GIFT City Branch
JPMorgan Chase is increasing its investment in India's GIFT City branch. The Wall Street lender opened its GIFT City branch in 2022 and has seen substantial growth since then, according to Max Neukirchen, global co-head of payments.
Neukirchen stated that JPMorgan has been present in GIFT City for four years now and has around a few hundred clients there. The business has grown significantly during this time.
JPMorgan's decision to step up its investment in GIFT City is seen as a positive development for the international financial hub, which aims to become a major financial center in Asia.
