JPMorgan Chase Dumps DEI Exec Over Championship Parade Trash Can Heist
JPMorgan Chase is cleaning house after a high-ranking employee was caught on camera stealing a Knicks-themed trash can during the team's championship parade.
Angie Báez, who held the position of Executive Director of Community and Industry Engagement for Card and Connected Commerce at JPMorgan Chase since last June, was seen pouring out the contents of the bin and making off with it on 4K footage that surfaced online.
The incident occurred after the New York Knicks' victory parade, where fans were still celebrating their team's win. Báez was previously an Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at review website The Infatuation before being hired by JPMorgan Chase last year.
JPMorgan Chase confirmed to The Post that Báez is no longer with the company after they investigated the incident. The bank's statement read: 'This employee is no longer with the company.'
