A Canadian technology company, AAA Internet Publishing Inc., has accused JPMorgan Chase of patent infringement over its online authentication methods.

The dispute centers around the bank's use of a security system that verifies legitimate account access attempts by comparing device identifiers and geographic locations.

AAA Internet Publishing claims that JPMorgan Chase's system stores device information and location data, then compares this information to determine whether an access attempt is legitimate or not.

The company asserts that this infringes on its US Patent No. RE47,533, which covers the same technology.
