JPMorgan Chase Issues Trigger GEARS Linked to Five Major Equity Indices
JPMorgan Chase Financial Company LLC is issuing Trigger GEARS, a type of unsecured debt security that tracks an unequally weighted basket of five major equity indices. The securities will have a return linked to the performance of the EURO STOXX 50 Index, the Nikkei 225 Index, the FTSE 100 Index, the Swiss Market Index, and the S&P/ASX 200 Index.
The Trigger GEARS will provide leveraged exposure to any positive performance of the basket. If the basket return is negative, investors may be exposed to the negative basket return at maturity.
JPMorgan Financial will repay principal amounts only if the final basket value is greater than or equal to the downside threshold (75% of the initial basket value). However, if the final basket value falls below this threshold, JPMorgan Financial will repay less than the principal amount, resulting in a loss of principal that is proportionate to the negative basket return.
The Trigger GEARS are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by JPMorgan Chase & Co. The securities have a maturity date of September 18, 2031, and can be purchased at a minimum investment of $1,000 in denominations of $10 and integral multiples thereof.
