JPMorgan Chase Slumps Amid QIA Partnership and Dividend Hike
JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the largest US banks, has formed a $20 billion strategic partnership with the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), allocating $15 billion to public equities and $5 billion to private markets.
The partnership brings significant capital from a sovereign investor into JPM's asset management platform, expanding institutional mandates and providing medium-term business development opportunities.
Separately, JPMorgan Chase raised its quarterly dividend to $1.65 per share from $1.50 as of September 15, supporting income investors.
However, shares of JPMorgan Chase have dropped 3.24% today, trading below short- and medium-term moving averages with a projected range of $336.28 to $346.26 and a 79% probability of further downside.
The current price is $340.63, down from its previous level, and remains under pressure due to sustained short- and medium-term weakness.
