JPMorgan Chase Stock Hits Near-Record Levels on Record-Breaking Quarterly Profit
JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s stock has reached near-record levels after the bank reported its highest quarterly profit in Q2 2026. The company's net income rose to $21.2 billion, a gain of more than 40% compared to the prior-year quarter.
The Asian Banker noted that JPMorgan Chase's record earnings were driven by a rebound in initial public offering activity and dealmaking in its investment banking division, as well as volatile markets in equity trading.
Excluding one-off gains, including $5.6 billion tied to the bank's stake in Visa, underlying net income reached about $16.9 billion, highlighting robust core earnings capacity.
The stock is currently trading at around $365 per share, which is roughly 17% above its intrinsic value of $311.77 per share, according to GuruFocus' GF Value metric.
