$36M Series A Funding for Remepy as Hybrid Drugs Approach Gains Momentum
Remepy, a company developing 'Hybrid Drugs' that combine prescription medicines with AI-driven therapeutic applications, has secured $36 million in Series A funding. The financing brings the company's total capital raised to $62 million.
The round was led by O.G. Venture Partners and M Ventures, the strategic venture arm of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Other investors include NFX, Vine Ventures, Qumra Capital, TechAviv, 97212 Ventures, Fresh Fund, PsyMed Ventures, Tadmor Group, Key1 Capital, and IT-Farm.
Remepy's lead program, Hybridopa, is being developed for Parkinson's disease. The company has reported positive Phase IIa results, demonstrating improvements in motor and non-motor symptoms, supported by peer-reviewed research into the biological mechanisms behind the treatment.
The global Phase III development of Hybridopa is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. Remepy's co-CEOs, Michal Tsur, Ph.D., and Or Shoval, stated that this financing will allow them to advance Phase III of Hybridopa for Parkinson's disease and expand the Hybrid Drug model across multiple therapeutic areas.
