JPMorgan Chief Dimon Meets Indian Finance Minister Amid Global Economic Uncertainty
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met JPMorgan Chase Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon in Mumbai on Monday during the 11th edition of the J.P. Morgan India Investor Conference.
The meeting comes as global investors closely track India's economic outlook, corporate earnings, and domestic demand.
Neither the Finance Minister's Office nor JPMorgan has publicly disclosed the details of the Dimon-Sitharaman discussion.
Sitharaman also addressed the conference and participated in a fireside chat with Sajjid Chinoy, Head of Asia Economics at JPMorgan.
JPMorgan sees resilient domestic demand continuing to offset an uncertain global environment, with its preferred positioning leaning heavily towards high-growth domestic cyclicals.
The bank retains its 27,000 base-case target for the Nifty 50 and estimates earnings growth for MSCI India at 11% in CY26 and 13% in CY27.
