JPMorgan Cuts Ties with Polymarket Amid Regulatory Scrutiny
Polymarket, an online prediction market, has been at the center of regulatory scrutiny. In October 2025, JPMorgan Chase informed Polymarket that it would be terminating its banking relationship due to regulatory concerns.
The bank cited these concerns as a reason for Polymarket to find a new financial institution. However, despite this decision, JPMorgan has expressed interest in taking on a role in a potential initial public offering (IPO) by the company.
Polymarket moved its accounts to another unidentified bank after receiving the news from JPMorgan. Despite this change, the two companies continue to have ties, with Polymarket's CEO, Shayne Coplan, having spoken at three major bank events in the last year.
