Polymarket, a prediction market platform, faced a setback when JPMorgan Chase ended its banking relationship with the company in October 2025. According to people familiar with the matter, the bank notified Polymarket that it would need to find another banking partner due to regulatory concerns.

The decision did not amount to a complete break between the two companies. Polymarket said it continues to have a 'close, active relationship' with JPMorgan, while the bank has reportedly maintained commercial ties with the prediction market operator despite ending the formal banking arrangement.

JPMorgan also invited Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan to speak at a private client conference in February 2026. The bank is reportedly interested in securing an underwriting role if Polymarket eventually pursues an initial public offering (IPO).
