JPMorgan Chase has made a significant move in its investment banking division by hiring David Fishman, the former co-head of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) M&A at Bank of America. Fishman will assume the role of vice chairman of JPMorgan's investment bank and head of North American technology M&A. He brings over 16 years of experience to the position, having spent nearly two decades at Bank of America.

The new hire is expected to help expand JPMorgan's M&A business and establish a new investment banking team focused on its core technology clients. According to an internal memo, Fishman will oversee the growth of this team, which aims to support the bank's most important technology clients in navigating complex transactions.

Vineet Seth, formerly head of North American technology M&A at JPMorgan, has been promoted to vice chairman of investment banking. Both Fishman and Seth will join JPMorgan's newly established Technology M&A Leadership and Advisory Committee.
