JPMorgan Shifts Data-Sharing Notices Amid Fintech Access Row
JPMorgan Chase & Co., the largest US bank, has made changes to its data-sharing notices in an ongoing battle with fintech companies. The updates aim to provide customers with more prominent disclosures about which accounts are linked to external apps.
The new setup moves these notices to the front of the banking app and includes details on whether customers can discontinue a connection, as well as how long those connections last, six months, one year, or indefinitely. This change follows ongoing disagreements between JPMorgan and fintechs over access to sensitive customer information.
The updates are designed to give customers more control and transparency when it comes to sharing their data with external apps.
