JPMorgan Snags Mid-Cap Banking Expert from Deutsche Bank
JPMorgan Chase has hired Ward Jones as its new head of Mid-Cap Basic Materials Investment Banking, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. The move is a significant boost for JPMorgan's investment banking division, which has been expanding its reach in the mid-cap space.
Jones will focus on building products, building products distribution, and paper and packaging companies from New York. He will report directly to Joe DeBarbrie and Dave Khalsa, co-heads of mid-cap diversified industries investment banking. The memo did not provide details on Jones' start date or compensation package.
Jones joins JPMorgan from Deutsche Bank, where he served as head of building products investment banking for the Americas. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Jones held investment banking roles at Credit Suisse and Citigroup. This move marks a significant coup for JPMorgan in its bid to expand its mid-cap expertise.
