JPMorgan Sued Over Alleged Discrimination Against Gay Employee

JPMorgan Chase is facing a federal discrimination lawsuit from a former employee who alleges he was told to keep his 'gay job' separate from his regular work.

Brian Larson, a senior associate at JPMorgan, joined the bank through its Chase Associate Program in 2021 and later became co-chair of PRIDE Tri-State, an LGBTQ+ employee resource group.

Larson alleges that one of his supervisors criticized his involvement with the group and told him to keep his 'gay job' separate from his regular position, saying 'DEI wasn't going to save' him.

Larson reported the comments to another supervisor and JPMorgan's human resources department, but claims his treatment at the bank changed after that. His work came under increased scrutiny, he was removed from projects, and his performance reviews declined.
