JPMorgan Chase has hired Bank of America executive Amy Lissauer to bolster its global shareholder engagement practice. Lissauer, a veteran adviser to companies facing pressure from activist investors, will join JPMorgan later this year as the global head of Shareholder Engagement and M&A Capital Markets.

According to a memo seen by Reuters, Lissauer will also serve as Global Chair and be based in New York. This move is part of JPMorgan's efforts to enhance its relationships with investors and respond to growing demands for greater corporate transparency.

Lissauer brings significant experience in shareholder activism defense, having advised companies on how to navigate pressure from activist investors. Her expertise will likely play a key role in helping JPMorgan manage potential conflicts with shareholders.
