JPMorgan Taps Edward Bell for Sub-Saharan Africa Investment Banking
JPMorgan Chase & Co. has appointed Edward Bell to lead its sub-Saharan Africa investment banking business, effective immediately.
Bell, who joined JPMorgan in 2017, will report directly to Kevin Latter, the firm's top country executive and head of investment banking for the region.
The appointment comes as African capital markets begin to recover from several subdued years, with global banks competing for mandates tied to infrastructure development, energy transition, and corporate dealmaking.
Bell has experience in M&A, equity and debt capital markets, corporate banking, and strategic advisory roles. Before joining JPMorgan, he held high-level positions at Bank of America Corp., Royal Bank of Scotland International Ltd., and ABN AMRO Bank NV.
