JPMorgan Chase plans to continue its hiring spree in Asia Pacific after reporting significant growth in its corporate bank revenue. According to regional heads Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton, the US bank will maintain a similar pace of hiring in 2027.

The corporate banking business in Asia Pacific has grown by more than 20% year-to-date, driven by Asian companies expanding abroad and increasing investment in artificial intelligence, data centers, and supply chains. Markets such as Taiwan, South Korea, China, and Australia have exceeded this growth rate, while Southeast Asia is growing at over 20%, with Malaysia benefiting from foreign investment linked to AI and data centers.

JPMorgan is also expanding its trade finance and working capital finance businesses, which help companies pay for goods moving across borders. The bank sees a strong demand for financing in the region, particularly for data center or GPU financing.
