JPMorganChase Commits $750 Billion to Affordable Housing by 2035
JPMorganChase has announced an ambitious plan to finance over 1 million affordable homes by 2035. This commitment involves deploying more than $750 billion through various initiatives, including the American Dream Initiative.
The bank aims to increase mortgage lending by over 40% and hire 850 Home Lending Advisors as part of this effort. The initiative is expected to assist 500,000 people with buying a house, with 200,000 being first-time homebuyers.
This plan represents a nearly 40% increase from the housing capital deployed by JPMorganChase in the previous decade. The American Dream Initiative is a key component of this effort, aiming to address the need for affordable housing in communities across the US.
