JPMorganChase has made a significant move in its sports investment strategy by partnering with LA28 as the first-ever global banking partner for the 2028 L.A. Games.

The nine-figure deal is part of JPMorganChase's firm-wide initiative, according to Carla Hassan, the institution's CMO. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but similar partnerships are estimated to go for upwards of $200M per four-year cycle.

JPMorganChase has been heavily invested in the sports industry, with partnerships across Madison Square Garden in N.Y., the Chase Center in S.F., and a recent deal with the Heat. The company is also a longtime sponsor of the tennis U.S. Open in N.Y. and recently announced a multimillion-dollar deal to sponsor Ohio State.

Hassan stated that the opportunity to partner with the Olympics and Paralympics was unique and appealing due to its international reach. JPMorganChase will evaluate the return on investment through brand strength, client and customer engagement, customer acquisition, and employee pride.
