JPMorganChase Pours Billions into San Francisco's Housing Market
JPMorganChase is working to increase housing supply in San Francisco through its Commercial Real Estate Banking efforts, part of its American Dream Initiative.
The initiative aims to deploy over $750 billion by 2035 to support homeownership and increase housing supply nationwide.
In the Bay Area, high costs, limited land, and long approval timelines make it challenging to build affordable housing. JPMorganChase's team is working with local leaders and nonprofits to move complex projects from planning to construction to delivery.
The bank has already deployed over $5.6 billion in financing for affordable housing construction and preservation across the Bay Area, helping to build or preserve nearly 26,000 affordable units.
