Kahne Revs Engine, Returns to NASCAR for Truck Series Ride
Kasey Kahne is ending his retirement to compete full-time in the NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series next season, according to a report from The Athletic.
The 46-year-old driver will join Spire Motorsports and likely be the oldest active full-time driver in any of NASCAR's three national touring circuits. He has an impressive background, with 18 wins in the Cup Series and multiple victories at top-level tracks.
Kahne began his racing career on dirt tracks and progressed to become one of eight drivers to win the Coca-Cola 600 multiple times. He will return to NASCAR after a brief stint in retirement, during which he experienced health issues, including heat exhaustion and dehydration.
