Kantoko Raises $3.5 Million to Simplify ADHD Treatment
Zac Altman, a serial entrepreneur and former VP at American Express, has raised $3.5 million in seed funding for his new venture, Kantoko.
Kantoko aims to simplify ADHD treatment by providing assessments and long-term care for individuals suspected of having the condition or already diagnosed.
The startup, founded in 2023, plans to expand its roster of clinicians and build out software offerings using the funding.
Altman drew from his own experience with ADHD, which he was initially diagnosed with while living in the US but had to re-go through the process after returning to Australia.
The number of Australians filling prescriptions for ADHD medication has increased by over 600% since 2017, according to UNSW data, highlighting the need for accessible and affordable treatment options.
