Kasumi Mod Brings GeForce Now to Nintendo 3DS Consoles
An open-source unofficial Nvidia GeForce Now client for Nintendo 3DS consoles has been developed and made available on GitHub. The mod, called Kasumi, allows users to play PC games on their handheld device, utilizing cloud streaming technology from Nvidia's servers.
The mod supports cloud gaming on Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL, and 2DS XL consoles, with customizable controls and connection settings available for those who need them. Users can link their third-party stores to their GeForce Now account to play games available through Steam, Epic, and Ubisoft Connect.
The Kasumi mod uses the Nintendo 3DS's built-in video decoder, allowing it to handle video and audio decoding as well as controller input. However, games that require mouse and keyboard exclusively may not be playable due to the lack of support on the console side.
