Kingdom Hearts 4 Delay Finally Confirmed as Square Enix Reveals Late 2027 Launch
Square Enix has finally revealed the release date for Kingdom Hearts 4, and it's set to launch late next year. The announcement was made during the Disney Entertainment panel at D23 in Anaheim, California. Although an exact release date wasn't provided, fans can expect the game to hit shelves near the end of 2027.
The reveal comes after a long wait for fans, who were originally teased with the sequel's existence back in April 2022. Since then, there has been little news on the project until now.
One of the most significant pieces of information shared during the panel is that the first Disney world in Kingdom Hearts 4 will be based on Pixar's Coco. The trailer showcases a colorful and vibrant new level where players can explore the Land of the Dead from the beloved animated film. Sora also obtains a new Keyblade inspired by Miguel's iconic guitar.
