Korean Air Finalizes $44.8 Billion Boeing Deal for 103 Aircraft
Korean Air has finalized its largest-ever aircraft order from Boeing, worth approximately $44.8 billion. The deal includes 103 Boeing jets and a separate agreement for 21 spare engines with GE Aerospace and CFM International, valued at $8.6 billion.
The order is the culmination of a memorandum of understanding signed in August 2025 and represents a significant milestone for Boeing after years of delays. Korean Air will receive 20 Boeing 777-9s, 25 787-10s, 50 737-10s, and eight 777-8F freighters.
The airline plans to standardize its fleet by retiring overlapping types and mismatched cabins inherited from the Asiana merger. This order will also support Korean Air Cargo's growth as one of the world's largest freight operators.
