Korean Air Lands Record Deal for 103 Boeing Aircraft
Korean Air has finalized a major deal to acquire next-generation aircraft and engines from Boeing and GE Aerospace. The agreement, worth over $44.8 billion, includes 103 Boeing aircraft and will support the airline's capacity growth following its integration with Asiana Airlines.
The contract includes $36.2 billion for the purchase of 103 Boeing aircraft, consisting of 20 Boeing 777-9s, 25 Boeing 787-10s, 50 Boeing 737-10s, and eight Boeing 777-8F freighters.
Korean Air has also finalized agreements with GE Aerospace and CFM International for 21 spare engines and a 15-year engine maintenance contract, worth approximately $8.6 billion.
