LA Kings Celebrate 60 Years of Hockey History with Home Opener Festivities

The LA Kings are gearing up for their 60th anniversary season and their first home game of the 2026-27 campaign. On Tuesday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m. PT, they will welcome the Florida Panthers to Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.

To celebrate this milestone, the team has planned a full slate of special events and fan-focused celebrations. The festivities begin with an Opening Night Fan Festival presented by American Express at L.A. LIVE, starting at 3:30 p.m. PT. This free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, interactive games, food and beverage options, merchandise booths, and appearances from the team's Ice Crew and beloved mascot, Bailey.

As part of the celebration, all fans in attendance on Tuesday evening will receive a retro goalie mask when doors open at 5:30 p.m. PT. This giveaway item blends the style of those masks worn by legendary Kings netminders like Rogie Vachon and Terry Sawchuk during the early days of the franchise with the team's modern color palette and iconography.
