LABCi Expands Compete4LA Platform for Olympics and Super Bowl Contracts
The Los Angeles Business Council Institute (LABCi) has expanded its Compete4LA platform to support local small businesses in winning contracts for the 2028 Summer Olympics and Super Bowl LXI. The initiative, backed by JPMorgan Chase, AECOM, Cisco, and CDW, aims to connect 40,000 small suppliers with prime contractors and government agencies.
The Compete4LA platform is a searchable database of local small businesses, each with annual revenue up to $5 million. It provides a map of suppliers by NAICS code and overlays sites for Olympic and Paralympic Games venues.
According to LABCi Chair Bob Graziano, global events like the Super Bowl and Olympics create long-term economic benefits, and Compete4LA will enable local small businesses to be part of that legacy. The campaign addresses LA28's goal of awarding 25% of procurement spending to local small businesses amid projected $17 billion in economic activity.
