As Labor Day weekend gets underway in 2026, many retailers have announced their holiday hours. The first Monday in September marks the federal holiday, which is meant to honor American workers and their achievements.

A total of 79 stores will be open on Labor Day, according to a list compiled by TODAY.com. These include major retailers like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Kohl's, Old Navy, and Best Buy.

The Home Depot, for instance, will operate during its normal business hours, while Best Buy will keep its doors open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Many grocery stores, pharmacies, and convenience stores are also participating in the holiday sales.

Some retailers have reduced their hours or may be closed on Labor Day. Customers are advised to check local store hours before heading out to shop.
