Lakeland Man Bitten by K9 After Eluding Deputies in Home Depot Parking Lot

A 36-year-old man from Lakeland, Florida, named Christopher Chapman was arrested after attempting to flee from deputies in a Home Depot parking lot. He had multiple outstanding warrants, including charges of leaving the scene of a crash, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license, and failing to register as a career offender.

Chapman refused to surrender when confronted by law enforcement, leading to a foot chase across the busy parking lot. Deputies warned him that they would release a police dog if he did not comply, but he fled anyway.

K9 Reno was deployed and caught up with Chapman, biting him and bringing him down on the pavement before deputies moved in to handcuff him.
