Lakeshore Lodge: Disney's New Bay Lake Resort Offers Nature-Inspired Accommodations and Recreation
Disney's newest resort, Lakeshore Lodge, is just months away from welcoming its first guests. The Bay Lake resort, set to open on July 1, 2027, will offer 967 rooms and various accommodation types, including studios, villas, and waterfront Lake Houses.
The resort will be heavily influenced by Disney's animation history, with different accommodations inspired by beloved films such as Bambi, Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Fantasia, and Encanto. The Wetlands area will feature pools, play spaces, and a lazy river, while guests will have complimentary transportation around Walt Disney World, including boat transport to Magic Kingdom.
Disney has revealed more details about the resort's design, including a new lounge called Branch & Brush, which will offer handcrafted cocktails and views of Bay Lake. The lobby will feature large windows with natural light and a fiberoptic river that appears to flow through the floor, surrounded by a bronze centerpiece created by Walt Disney Imagineering.
The general public can start booking stays at Lakeshore Lodge on October 8, but those hoping to stay near the opening date should be prepared for competition. Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders will have earlier access to book reservations.
