Lam to Unveil US-Vietnam Corporate Deals in New York
Vietnamese leader To Lam is set to announce agreements between US and Vietnamese corporations in New York next week, as part of his trip to the city. The agreements involve energy, tech, aviation, and financial firms.
US energy companies Murphy Oil and Chevron are expected to announce deals with state-owned Petrovietnam, while ExxonMobil is slated to announce an accord with Vietnam Refinery and Petrochemical Corp. This follows a non-binding oil supply agreement between the refinery and Chevron in February.
The agreements also include plans for Vietjet to lease as many as 22 planes from four aviation leasing companies, including Boeing and Airbus jets. The airline is also set to sign memoranda of understanding with US jet engine maintenance firms and a contract with SpaceX for satellite internet services.
