India's Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has secured an order worth up to $1.57 billion from Together AI, a U.S.-based cloud platform, to build an artificial intelligence factory using Nvidia's high-performance chips.

The order is for LTN Compute, L&T's AI infrastructure subsidiary, which will host the AI data center at its Vyoma.AI unit in Chennai, India. The center will have a capacity of 10,000 NVIDIA B300 chips, making it the largest such deployment in India.

Nvidia's B300 chip ranks among the most powerful chips available for AI inference tasks. This deal marks L&T's entry into the AI factory business.
