Las Vegas Volunteers Pack Over 200K Meals for 9/11 National Day of Service

On September 11, 2026, nearly 600 local volunteers gathered at the Thomas & Mack Center on the UNLV campus for the 9/11 National Day of Service event in Las Vegas. The volunteers worked together to pack approximately 200,000 meals that will be donated to Three Square food bank for distribution to Southern Nevada families.

Hector Bernabe, a Home Depot volunteer, was among those who contributed to the massive effort. According to organizers, the packed meals will provide a vital source of nutrition for many in need.
