LATAM Traders Abandon Google Ads for Education Networks

For years, online brokers in Latin America (LATAM) relied on a familiar playbook to attract new customers. They would buy search ads, rank for keywords like 'mejor broker' and 'cuenta demo,' and hope that the cost-per-acquisition (CPA) model still worked.

However, this approach is no longer effective in LATAM. The region's traders are increasingly discovering brokers through education networks like Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp groups, academy communities, seminar circuits, and workshop tours run by local educators and influencers who already have trust with their audience.

London-based trading industry insiders report that over 10,000 active users have entered the market through these community channels in LATAM. This is not a side channel, but rather the primary way that traders are discovering brokers in the region.

Google ads still exist, but they no longer buy trust in LATAM. Auction costs have risen, conversion quality has fallen, and the user who clicks on a search ad is rarely the one who stays. Ranking for commercial keywords is equally fragile, as the page is crowded, intent is transactional, and relationships start at zero.

Unlike traders in London or Sydney, LATAM retail traders do not discover brokers through online searches. Instead, they discover individuals - educators and influencers who already run events, seminars, and mentorship programs. These educators have become de facto IBs (Introducing Brokers), recommending platforms to their students and followers.

The commercial model is changing in response to this shift. Pure CPA is no longer enough to lock serious educators, and neither is vanilla rebate. Packages now being offered look more like media and talent deals than classic IB contracts - including meaningful monthly retainers, commission or rebate overlays on funded flow, event support, co-branded workshops, travel and production budgets, and hybrid structures that pay for presence and performance.

Influencers and academy owners can hold multiple deals at once, becoming multi-homing distribution assets. Brokers are bidding against each other to secure access to these education networks and their audiences.
