Lawsuits Target Church & Dwight and P&G Over 'Unscented' Deodorant Claims

Two class action lawsuits have been filed against Church & Dwight Co. Inc. and The Procter & Gamble Company over their 'unscented' deodorant products.

The plaintiffs, Mark Glickman and Maria Chiaravalloti, claim that Arm & Hammer and Native deodorants contain fragrance ingredients despite being marketed as unscented.

Glickman's lawsuit targets Church & Dwight's Arm & Hammer Essentials Unscented Deodorant and Arm & Hammer UltraMax Unscented Antiperspirant and Deodorant, which he claims contain Ethylene brassylate, a fragrance ingredient not disclosed on the front label.

Chiaravalloti's lawsuit targets P&G's Native Unscented Deodorant, which she claims contains Zingiber officinale, or ginger root extract, another fragrance ingredient missing from the product's front-label claims.
